Bzindan: Indigenous Music Review
Song # 1
Tyler Dettloff
Title: Thunder Burnt
I liked the music; his short video was very powerful for it only being less than 4 minutes he seems to put a lot of negative stereotypes and make them positive. inspiring hope that a person can change. He appears to be a good musician one I could listen to more often.
Song # 2
The Band
Title: The Weight
I really like the older band they were more original; I feel there was more heart and soul the artist worked with their talents, voice and their ability to play instruments even the talent of the back-up singers. No computer-generated music all orthotic. I realize these songs are lam to the younger generation, but without band like this music wouldn't be where it is today. It makes you stop and think of the struggle's musician had there been no internet to modify the quality and sound of the music, but they still managed to product hits and sell record.
Song # 3
Emma Stevens
Blackbird
Emma song was executed extremely well much better than the Beatles, her voice is amazing with a touch of innocents, fresh and the words appeared to come from heart. The guy on the guitar and her share the same passion even in the Native language it was beautiful. Definitely will listen and watch for more of her music. Thanks, Ms. Jackson, for the introducing us to this artist,

Song #4
Raye Zaragoza
The It Girl
Raye - songwriter from New York her music is so up lifting and fresh very, I like her voice and the beat. she seems to send a positive message to young girls. encouraging young girls to just be themselves, like what they look like regardless of the color of their skin or their appearance they can be whatever they want to be. This song is one that I would encourage my granddaughter download and listen too. Raye brings an upbeat style of music and is moving up in the multimedia world. I really think she is capturing a younger audience.
Song #5
Evan Redsky
Waiting in the Echo
Evan is from On. from the first nation, Evan style sounds very country, love the background music. I am not a fan of country music; He has a great voice and storytelling. I did listen to his album his songs have a lot of passion, and a way to mesh life struggles into his songs. His music is okay just not anything I would follow, download or listen too. His album is steaming on multimedia. Evan song are very much storytelling, and he is very passionate.
